YESTERDAY'S AWARDS SIGNIFIES SEN. RAFIU'S IMPACTFUL PRESENCE IN KWARA SOUTH ~ SHAMSUDEEN BADA

The meritorious Award of Excellence conferred on Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim during the annual occasion of Ojoku Day further attests to the Senator's impactful presence not only in Ojoku but in all parts of Kwara south .

Yesterday, the people of Ojoku from across the globe gathered to mark and celebrate this year's #OjokuDay; An annual occasion which usually witness influx of prominent descendants of Ojoku and other diplomats from all parts of the world into Ojoku community .

As a person , I am not too surprised that the people of Ojoku through *Ojoku Descendants Progressive Union* would deemed it fit to make loud their voices in passing votes of confidence on their illustrious son ,Senator Dr Rafiu Ibrahim who has successfully projected the image of that community beyond the coast of Kwara .

The award therefore symbolises the grassroot presence of the peoples Senator, Dr Rafiu Ibrahim and how's he has been contributing immensely towards the growth of education, Agricultural,  entrepreneurship and  poverty alleviation in entire Kwara South. The  award is therefore a symbol of wide acceptability especially now that 2019 elections draw closer .

Kwara South as a home to many erudite scholars, consummate technocrats and astute politicians will definitely be proud of a highly cerebral, focused and experience tactical politicians  like Senator Rafiu Ibrahim at this contemporary political period

In 2017, Distinguished Senator Rafiu bagged Presidential Award presented to him by His Excellency, the Vice President Yemi Oshibanjo for his legislative contributions towards better Nigerian Economy in that year , no doubt, Senator Rafiu years at the National Assembly has been so rewarding and impactful not only in kwara but Nigeria in general .

Your Excellency, this is a thing of absolute joy to us in Kwara South where you hail from ,as one of those who believe strongly in you, I am proud and inspired to be identified with an excellent person like you and I wish you and our leader more progress as we march forward to 2019 general elections.

I hereby seize this opportunity to congratulate my mentor  and the rising star of Ojoku  Kingdom , His Excellency ,Senator Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim on yet another remarkable feat he assumed . I am sure Your Excellency by this award will be inspired to do more not only for Kwara south but for humanity in general.

I also congratulate  HRH, The Olojoku of Ojoku and entire Ojoku people for this years successful outings in *#OjokuDayCelebration*

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
