*Kwara Youth Strategic Movement: Regulatory Complain On Campaign Advertisment, Count Emir of Ilorin Out of Partisan Politics*

Our Attention has been drawn to a letter purpotedly written to the Kwara State Directorate of DSS, from the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency noting that it received a complain from the Palace of the Emir of Ilorin over what it described as inciteful and indecorous use of campaign slogan by a Political Party.

It is completely disingenious for anyone or group of persons to suggest that the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, will indicriminately express partisan support for any political candidate or Party.

The Emir of Ilorin has over the years demonstrated beyond any scintilla of doubt, his commitment to the core principles of fairness equity and justice.

It is instructive to note that the Emir will continue to use his dignified position to offer guidance, support and fortitude to all and sundry, regardless of inclination or political leaning and interest.

It is also important to advice every political Party to avoid statements that will inflame unnecessary passion and emotive reactions.

We also encourage Politicians to conduct themselves in the most acceptable manner and in line with standard practices, by showing resposnibility in action and utterances.

Amb. Gegele Ahmed Ibrahim
State Coordinator
Kwara Youth Strategic Movement
