*PDP Woman Leader commends Governor Ahmed on women empowerment*

Kwara State Women wing of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has commended the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for empowering women in the state.

The state PDP woman leader, Hajia Ramat Razaq-Oganija, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

According to her, each woman through their various associations received financial support from the state government.

Oganija said the gesture is just one of the numerous empowerment scheme by the State government to support the women folk in the state.

While apprecaiting the Governor for his numerous support for the women in the state, the woman leader reiterated the commitment and dedication of women to support the good policies and programes of the state governments, and therefore promised to mobilize the women across the state towards ensuring victory for the PDP in the coming general elections.

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
