National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter Endorse Rt Hon. Razak Atunwa for Governor

The Kwara State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria during an interactive session with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, *Rt Hon. Razak Atunwa* this evening endorsed him as their favourite choice for Governor of Kwara State come 2019.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria which comprises of "Man o' war, Boys Brigade,  Girls Guide etc had their representatives present from the 16 local governments in Kwara State.

They appreciated *Rt Hon. Razak Atunwa* for granting them audience and went on to acknowledge his efforts during his tenure as a Commissioner and also as the Speaker of the House of Assembly, they made mention of wonderful works towards the youth in terms of scholarships and grants which he made available during his time as a Commissioner and also as the Speaker.

The Spokesperson for the organisation, Mr Nasiru Ali Baba implored Hon Atunwa to keep up the good work and he assured him of their full support in achieving a Kwara of our dream

*Hon. Razak Atunwa* thanked them for initiating the interactive session and said he was glad that such a dialogue is taking place. He said his policies have been youth driven beginning from his days as a commissioner for works and he intends to step up the good work.

*Hon Atunwa* said he is going to ensure that youths will be a major part of his cabinet come 2019. He further reiterated on his emphasis on a cabinet full of youths, he laid emphasis on the progress made in Kwara State due to the Youthful cabinet of the Government of *Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki* while he was the Governor of Kwara State.

*Rt Hon. Razak Atunwa* concluded by saying youths will be the foremost drivers of his government, while stating that it's necessary for every government to put strong structures which will enable the youths to be relevant to the society and themselves.

Hon Atunwa ended his speech by saying he remains focused on the progress of the State by empowering the youths ranging from payments of bursaries and scholarships to entrepreneurship programs which will make life better.

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
