Kwara State Government Continue Road Rehabilitation

KWSG Continues Road Rehabilitation 

In continuation of the ongoing weekly rehabilitation of roads in the metropolis, the Kwara State Government has extended work to other areas.

This was disclosed in a statement by the State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya in Ilorin on Tuesday.

He noted that as palliative work has been completed on some roads, the ministry will embark on others during the course of the week.

Yahaya listed the roads to include Agbo Oba, Ita Ogunbo junction,  Idi Ape - Baruba, Oja Iya, Taiwo road - Stadium underpass, Trinity road, Sokoto road ( Sabo oke ) and Oke Foma.

He said that the State Government is committed to esuring that roads in the State are motorable for users.

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
