KWASU Osi Campus Set for Completion
Kwara State Government has assured that the ongoing construction of Osi campus of Kwara State University(KWASU) would be completed before the present administration leaves office.
The state Commissioner for Tertiary Institutions, Science and Technology, Barrister Abdullahi Alikinla gave the assurance during the inspection of the project last Thursday.
Some of the ongoing facilities inspected included students hostel, lecture hall, staff quarter, lecture theatres, college buildings A and B among others.
The commissioner who expressed satisfaction over the level and quality of work done on the project, said it is commensurate with funds released for the project under Kwara State Infrastructure Development Fund(IFK)
Barrister Alikinla added that the state government is committed to the completion of the project on schedule.
The contractor handling the project, Engr Tunji Folami said the project is at 65 percent completion.
He assured that the project would be delivered in the next few months based on the assurance from the state government of continuous prompt release of funds.
Folami added that citing of the campus in Osi community had opened doors of economic opportunities for the people of the community and the state in general.
He said the company had met the expectations of the state government in terms the quality of job done and promised to sustain the tempo.
