Anu Ibiwoye hails from Esie in Irepodun LGA made his debut on the political landscape of Kwara in 2010 when he joined the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN and clinched the Kwara South Senatorial ticket to emerge the Senatorial Candidate of the party. Even though he lost the election to Chief Simeon Ajibola, the candidate of the PDP, it was not a bad showing for a first timer in Kwara politics. The result of that election showed that Anu ibiwoye won the Elections in Offa even against Arc Lola Ashiru in his homestead, won in Irepodun against  a 2 term House of Representatives member. He won in parts of Isin, Oke-Ero and lost to Chief Simeon Ajibola by 400 votes in Ekiti LG his homestead. 


Having Joined the APC in 2014, He tried to Run for House of Representatives but was prevailed upon by the leadership of the party to step down his aspirations for the incumbent and he did. 

He was thereafter appointed as the the Deputy Director General of the 2015 Mandate and DG South of the 2015 Governorship campaign committee. It is recorded that 2015 Mandate under the leadership of the Senate President was able to win the elections of all its candidates on the APC platform across the 16 LG. 


He was appointed as Special Adviser to The Governor of Kwara State on Agriculture & Rural Water in 2015 following the return of Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for a 2 term in office. 


Anu Ibiwoye since joining this government has demonstrated commitment  and capacity on his current assignment and he has proven to be a man of the people through his good works by providing employment, helping the less privileged, amongst others. 

His excellent performance as a special adviser on agriculture has seen significant improvement in providing empowerment to farmers, women  and youth farmers across the state. 


Anu Ibiwoye has expressed his interest to seek the House of Representatives ticket and beyond a doubt, He is the most qualified aspirant to run for the FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 2019 in the Irepodun/Isin/Oke-ero/Ekiti Federal Constituency. 

He has stayed relevant in the politics of Kwara south and is a leading aspirant and the only aspirant in the race with potentials of galvanising  total support from the PDP and his candidature will create the desired upset in the opposition camp,this will be seen as a  huge master stroke as he  is loved, and admired by the electorate in the south,as and well respected by  the Youth across party affiliations.

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
