*OFFICIAL ADOPTION OF SENATOR DR. RAFIU ADEBAYO IBRAHIM FOR SECOND TERM*

The Central Executive Committee of this noble movement have been following with keen interest the political development of our dear state and in particular that of Kwara South whose interest this group is  representing.

We have observed so many political cross carpeting across party ranks and file throughout the country particularly the shake ups and mass Exodus from APC at the National Assembly . Fortunately, our constituency and state are part of the political jurisdiction affected by this shake ups.

As *Kwara South Progressive Movement,* we make it bold to say our association was properly consulted for the for the decision of Kwara South Senator, Senator Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim from his former party APC to the present People's Democratic Party  PDP.

As Progressive movement,  we align ourselves with decision of our senator to exit the party that alienated those who struggled to make the party what it is but rewarding those who worked against the interest of the party during struggle.

*Our Conviction about Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim*

Since election into Senate in 2015, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim hasn't tarry  in his struggle to ensure the people of Kwara South feel the impact of his representation

Dr Rafiu Ibrahim good works spanned  through provision of Infrastructural and social amenities,  Massive investment in Education, social empowerment, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises , financial aides to the less privileges etc

*Investment in Infrastructure &Social Amenities*

This is reflected through his facilitation of

*Ojoku-Affon Road construction works*,

*Provision of high powered Transformers to several communities to improve availability electricity supply in rural areas*, 

*Construction of ultramodern public Toilet facilities in strategic locations  especially our markets,  Public Schools , Motor parks across the senatorial district.*

Of great importance is Senator Rafiu Ibrahim investment in education .

We make bold to say this Senator facilitated construction and reconstruction of several blocks of classrooms and distribution of instructional materials to so many schools across the constituency.

It's also in record that Senator Rafiu Ibrahim through his RIB foundation have touched so many families with scholarship grants and even to those who are schooling outside the country.

Recent among this was the announcement of university education scholarship to 21 students who performed excellently in their Matriculation examination.

The best way for any leadership to develop his or her society is to equip it's teeming population with education, prioritise infrastructural development , empowered the disadvantages and in all these,  Senator Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has surpass expectations of ordinary people of Kwara South.

It's on the basis of the afformentioed that we in Kwara South Progressives Movement wish to state as follow :

I. That Senator Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim got our votes of confidence having use his office judiciously to the advantage of the people of our constituency.

II. That  in the interests of so many poor families whose children are currently on Senator Rafiu Ibrahim Scholarship running various programs both at local and international Institutions, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim should proceed in his legislative mandate beyond 2019 .

III. That the board of Trustee and the Central Executive Commiteee of this association,  *Kwara South Progressives Movement* on behalf of the entire good people of Kwara South hereby pass our votes of Confidence and adopt *Senator Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim to proceed on his representation beyond 2019 due to his laudable performance so far as Kwara South Senator .

    Frankly speaking rafiu can not win kwara south again I said it and iam still repeating it no way. I told him he will still come back to us.

FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
