A TRIBUTE TO HONOURABLE PRINCESS OLUFUNKE ADEDOYIN MNI BY OTUNBA ANU IBIWOYE

*A TRIBUTE TO HONOURABLE PRINCESS OLUFUNKE ADEDOYIN MNI.*

I received yesterday evening with utter shock and sadness, the news of the passing-on of Princess Olufunke Adedoyin. Her death at this time is shocking and for me it is a personal loss.

I served Princess Adedoyin (who was called Sista by close friends and family) as a Special Assistant during her Tenure as Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2003 - 2005.
Princess Adedoyin as I knew her was an amazing woman of character, very strong willed, confident, resourceful, resilient, compassionate and result oriented. She impacted and dominated her environment at all times.
I had served under Princess for close to 11 years, first as a Special Assistant and later on in other capacities. She was a mother figure to me, she gave me the support and encouragement to go into politics. I built trust, confidence and loyalty working with her in those years. She gave to me her ALL and today I cannot but be eternally grateful.

Princess was a committed and dogged fighter, very passionate and proud of her heritage as an Igbomina woman, kind, compassionate and full of wisdom.

I will cherish all the things I learnt working with you. I am proud to say that I learnt how to analyze and articulate my thoughts in writing, for that and many other things I am grateful.

Today words fail me because my heart is heavy and bleeds for you my sister.

Your time on earth is done, your sun is set and your light is out but your kindness and good deeds will remain forever like a rainbow.

Good night Princess Olufunke Adedoyin MNI. Your memory will forever remain indelible in my heart.

*Otunba Anu Ayodeji Ibiwoye*
