Comrade Bisi Fakayode pays tribute to his late Driver

Tribute from me to my  Late Hammed Mobolaji Abdulkadir:

BOLAJI, YOU WERE MORE THAN A STAFF TO ME!

Dear Bolaji,

As a boss, I am extremely gutted and still dont beleive you are gone, I and my family are devastated by your sudden demise. You are not the right man to have died at this time considering your act of godliness and strong devotion to Allah.

As I write this, I still seek to get clear understanding of the reason why you left in this manner, what plan could this have been part of? What meaning or lesson can be gleaned from this?

Well meaning people will say its all parts of God's plan or that it is your time to go. Some will even say you are now in a better place . God certainly knows the best.  Indeed, you may have been in a better place, but I would still have love you to be with me.

Unfortunately, there can never be easy or definite answer,  and as difficult and painful as it is, we have  no choice but to succumb to God's will over you.

As a boss to his staff, we've been confidants to one another, with you beside me, there were usually no space for bad mood or dull moments. because we usually joke together. BolajI, no doubt, you were a good son to me.  I express my deep sadness , I acknowledge my loss, and I recognise the large vacuum created by your sudden death.

Although, I must face bravely the fact that my Bolaji is no more, I owe it to you and myself to look at the bigger picture of your short but godly lifetime.

Bolaji, as a staff, you served diligently with all your strength .You exhibited high level honesty and sincerity in your service delivery to me. All these, couple with your humble nature, straight forwardness and positive attitude to everyone placed you in a special place in my heart. There's no way the vacuum created by your sudden death can easily by filled .

Your time with me as a staff though shorter than expected left behind so many wonderful memories which will have everlasting effect in my personal life .

You were a man who will never complain no matter the intensity of work pressure, you were always full of high spirit and dedication to your job. You were a very passionate and caring family young man. You did beyond what an ordinary staff would do in my life.

When I was physically down in hospital, you were there  sleeping everyday in the hospital with me for the whole period. You were closer to me than even my family members .

Whenever I am strong, you were strong, whenever I am weak, you were also weak and you always know the best way to console and bring smiles to my face in company of Ladi Fakayode.

I cannot say all the good and tough moments we shared together but if  opportunity presents itself again in life beyond, I will still choose to be with you. Bolaji you were too good! May the Almighty God in His infinite mercy grant you Aljanat Firdaus. Amin.

Goodnight my beloved Hammed Mobolaji Abdulqadir. I will always miss you.

Offa/Erin-Ile: Governor Ahmed Solicits Calm Over Judgment, Advocates Dialogue. The Kwara State State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on the people of Erin-Ile and Offa to remain calm and maintain law and order in the aftermath of a recent Supreme Court judgement concerning the boundary dispute between the communities. FAAC: Kwara to Receive N3.2b as April Allocation as LGs Get N2.4b Kwara State Government has revealed its federal allocation figures for April 2019. In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the state government will receive N3,279,896,086.07 as federal allocation for April. The April allocation, according to Banu, comprises statutory allocation of N1,984,735,503.59, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to N865,451,596.07, exchange gain of N3,605,662.04, foreign exchange equalisation of N71,405,769.35, additional NNPC funds amounting to N54,568,854.62 as well as goods and valuable contribution of N300,128,700.40. Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated N2,410,239,130.07.
